Baltic Sea Cup 2019 laajenee ja huipentuu 21.9. Season Final -tapahtumaan Pyöräkrossiparkissa

Tämän vuoden Baltic Sea Cup on julkaistu. Kisoja on 4 kappaletta, mukaan lukien Helsingissä pidettävä finaali syyskuussa. Kisapäivät:

 

Round 1 – 10.AUG, Tallinn/Estonia

Round 2 – 24.AUG, Uppsala/Sweden

Round 3 – 7.SEPT Valmiera/ Latvia

Round 4 – 21.SEPT, Helsinki/Finland

Competition format, rules:

Baltic Sea Cup for BMX Racing is a new race series that combines four quality events in

countries around Baltic Sea. BMX Baltic Sea Cup has classes for all ages and elite. Baltic Sea

Cup strengthens the co-operation of the Nordic and Baltic countries within BMX.

A rider must participate to at least 2 cup races for the overall result. The points from the 3

(three) best cup races count for the overall result.

All rounds of competition are organized according to UCI Regulations and Rules.

Clip pedals are allowed only for riders 13 yrs and older.

The invitations will be published a minimum 3 weeks before the event on the event web

page. They will also be sent by email to all federations and participating clubs.

Competition schedule (organizers reserve possibility for changes):

Evening before the race

Open practice w gate (5 euros) 18.00-20.00

Race day

Registration until 12.00

Practice: G13 and under, B12 and under 12.00-13.00

Team Manager meeting 13:00-13:15

Practice: G14+, B13+, Cr17+ 13.00-13.35

Practice: WJ/WE; MJ/ME 13.35-14.00

Race start 14.00

Age of riders:

According to UCI Regulations – riders’ categories are determined by the age of those

competing as defined by the difference between the year of the event and the year of birth

of the rider. A rider must be at least 5 years of age to compete in a BMX event. The

minimum age of 5 refers to the real calendar age.

Categories:

Challenge categories:

Cruiser: CR17/29, CR30+;

Girls: G-7/8, G9/10, G11/12, G13/14+; G15+

Boys: B-7, B8, B9, B10, B11, B12, B13/14, B15/16;

Men: M17+

Championship categories:

Women: WJ/WE;

Men: MJ/ME.

Registration fee:

1) Challenge categories: EUR 15.00,-

2) Championship categories: EUR 30.00,-

Registration:

Registrations by Monday before the race, payment possible only by bank transfer to

organizers bank account.

Late entries double fee.

If family has 2 or more children riding in the race, registration fee only for one children.

Awards in cup races:

Organizer will provide trophies for top 3 riders in all categories and medals or product prizes

for all finalists (places 4-8).

For championship categories, top 3 riders receive price money. Prize money budgets are

made from championship riders’ registration fees, plus 300 EUR from organizer.

Breakdown of prize money is following:

WJ/WE (100 EUR from organizer): 1st place – 50%; 2nd place – 30%; 3rd place – 20%.

MJ/ME (200 EUR from organizer): 1st place – 50%; 2nd place – 30%; 3rd place – 20%.

Overall rules and awards:

Points for finals of each race:

1. 12 points

2. 9 points

3. 7 points

4. 6 points

5. 5 points

6. 4 points

7. 3 points

8. 1 point

Overall points are awarded and counted starting from categories B9 and G9/10.

A rider must participate to at least 2 cup races for the overall result. The points from the 3

(three) best cup races count for the overall result.

If riders have equal points after all four rounds, position in the final cup race decides the

overall place.

Big cups are awarded for top 3 riders of all challenge categories.

Overall prize money for elite is 1200 euros. It is split equally between elite men and women
